February 15-23 2010



Bomb Threat investigated: On February 22nd 2010, at about 1245 hrs K-State Police received information about a bomb threat which had been received within the Music Department at McCain Auditorium. At the time of the threat, the auditorium was already secured and unoccupied as part of our regular security measures for Landon Lectures. Kansas Highway Patrol bomb canine units were on scene performing their regular scheduled sweep of the venue. As a precaution the rest of McCain offices were evacuated until the sweep of the auditorium was complete. Once the building was cleared, it was reopened. An investigation to the source of threat has been initiated.


Feb 15: Warrant Arrest: Terrence F O’Neil was arrested for an outstanding Warrant for failure to appear.

Feb 15: Warrant Arrest: Rasheed C Johnson was arrested for an outstanding warrant for burglary in Louisiana.

Feb 15: Non Injury Accident at Denison and Kimball Ave.

Feb 16: Non Injury hit and run accident in a parking lot.

Feb 16: Theft of Moped: Shiv Ananda Kum Garimella Purna reported his Silver in color “Peace Sport” brand moped was stolen. Loss is reported at $800.00

Feb 17: Warrant Arrest: Tykeisha M Platt was arrested for an outstanding warrant for failure to appear.

Feb 19: Hit and Run: Non injury hit and run accident in a parking lot.

Feb 20: DUI arrest: Adam C Seiders was arrested for DUI.

Feb 21: Non Injury Accident (parking lot)

Feb 22: Shoplifting reported: The K-State Union bookstore reported a theft of a flash drive. Loss is $9.00

Feb 22: Theft reported: Kameron Durell reported a debit card stolen.
